Amy Innarelli said there have not been any arrests in her son Chandler’s homicide case.”I felt as though I had more of a grasp or understanding in the first year of this unsolved murder than I did year two,” Amy said. Chandler was 22 years old in 2020 when he was shot in his car in Manchester. Amy said fewer people are coming forward, and the district attorney’s office has minimal updates. “Looking at it optimistically, I’m hoping that they’re just building the case and they’re working to protect the integrity of it,” Amy said.Amy said her motivation to keep seeking answers is Chandler’s son Jahmel, 2, who was a newborn when his father was killed.”He knows his dad, he sees his dad, he kisses his dad’s photos all the time,” Amy said. “Jahmel is a highly intuitive and wise-beyond-his-years 2-year-old, and he loves being outdoors and I think he just knows, he knows his daddy is here, but not here.”Amy continues raising awareness on gun violence, hosting community events for kids in a park she adopted. “My plea to anybody that knows something to please say something,” Amy said. “Allow me the peace and closure for me to focus on my efforts on making positive change and opportunities in our community’s youth.”If you are interested in getting involved with Chandler’s Angels, visit their website or their Facebook page.
