Milwaukee man dies after being pulled from Milwaukee River downtown
First responders were called just before midnight.

DIANA: GABRIELLA GARZA IS LIVE THERE THIS MORNING. GABRIELLA, WHAT DO WE KNOW SO FAR? GABRIELLA: WE KNOW THAT THE INITIAL CALL FOR HELP HAVE BEEN TO JUST BEFORE MIDNIGHT, JUST A FEW HOURS AGO, FOR A PERSON IN THE MILWAUKEE RIVER. >> MED 16 IS COMING OVER WITH A DIVER. TRUCK FIVE WILL ALSO BE RESPONDING WITH A DIVER. MESSAGE RECEIVED. STAGE AT THE REAR OF RESCUE THREE AT THE BUMPER. COMMAND. MED FOUR WILL BE RESPONDING WITH A DIVER. GABRIELLA: OUR CAMERAS WERE ON SCENE AND CREWS PULLED A PERSON OUT OF THE WATER, HAVING TO PERFORM CPR ON THEM. THE MEDICAL EXAMINERS TELL US THEY WERE NOT CALLED OUT TO THE SCENE. MULTIPLE DIVERS WERE DIRECTED OUT TO THE MILWAUKEE RIVER TO HELP WITH THE RESCUE EFFORTS. WE REACHED OUT TO MILWAUKEE POLICE TO FIND OUT WHAT EXACTLY HAPPENED AND HOW THEY ENDED UP IN THE RIVER, BUT WE HAVE NOT HEARD BACK.

Dive teams pulled one person from the Milwaukee River early Monday morning. The Medical Examiner confirmed that person was a 39-year-old Milwaukee man who later died at the hospital.First responders were called just before midnight to Pere Marquette Park near Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and State Street.A 12 News photojournalist was on the scene as one person was pulled from the water and crews performed CPR on them.The Medical Examiner added that foul play is not suspected.
