Meet the 44 Delaware high school football Mini Max award winners


The Maxwell Football Club has announced its 2021 Delaware Mini Max high school award winners, 44 seniors from each of the eligible football-playing schools in the First State.

The players were nominated by their coaches and were evaluated based on criteria that includes football performance, academics and community service.

The Maxwell Football Club will select one player from the group of Mini Max winners as the Delaware Player of the Year, which will be released Jan. 26.

Cape Henlopen quarterback Hank D'Ambrogi is among 44 Maxwell Football Club Mini Max award winners statewide.

That winner will become a candidate along with the New Jersey and Pennsylvania players of the year to be named the 36th Jim Henry Award player as the outstanding player in the region. The Henry winner will be announced Feb. 2.

The Maxwell Football Club, based in Philadelphia, has been recognizing greatness on the gridiron since 1935. The Delaware Mini Max award program is sponsored by The Buccini/Polin Group Inc.
