Daytona Beach police are searching for a man they say attacked a woman inside of a Waffle House restaurant with a machete Thursday morning.Police responded to the Waffle House on Seabreeze Boulevard at about 4 a.m. in response to a stabbing. Police say security footage shows the suspect and victim talking to each other in a booth.The suspect gets up and mingles with other patrons before returning to the booth where the woman sat. He then pulled a machete out of his pants and began to strike her multiple times, police said. A witness heard a woman screaming and the suspect “slicing the victim with a machete,” according to an incident report. The victim then called 911 and told police she didn’t know the man who had just stabbed her.
