RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — At one point, all southbound lanes were closed on Interstate 95 near Arthur Ashe Boulevard for emergency road repairs.
Around 2:45 p.m., VDOT reported that the center and left lanes had been reopened.
A pipe underneath I-95 South at mile marker 77.8 required emergency repairs, according to VDOT.
A spokesperson for VDOT said extended closures are expected.
Drivers were asked to seek alternate routes.
