Calling all donut lovers! Krispy Kreme is giving customers a chance to grab a dozen original glazed donuts for just $0.86 this Friday, July 14, in honor of the company’s birthday.
With the purchase of any other dozen donuts at regular price, folks can cash in on this deal celebrating the company’s 86th year.
“We love treating our fans and celebrating our birthday with them every year. It definitely has become a tradition,” said Dave Skena, Global Chief Brand Officer for Krispy Kreme, in a press release. “Gifting fans a dozen Original Glazed® doughnuts for just 86 cents when they buy any dozen is a pretty sweet way to celebrate 86 years of delicious doughnuts.”

What is Krispy Kreme?
Originally founded in 1937, Krispy Kreme is a donut company best known for having hot donuts that are served directly off of the production conveyor belt. The company began when its founder, Vernon Rudolph, started selling his donuts at grocery stores.
According to the press release, a person smelled the donuts being made while walking by and asked Rudolph if they could buy the donuts. Rudolph then cut a hole in the wall and started selling his “original glazed” donuts to people on the sidewalk through the opening.
While the company began with selling original donuts, it has since expanded its menu to include other types of donuts, including iced, glazed, filled, cake, and chocolate. Stores also offer coffee and shakes.

How does the deal work?
The deal is only offered this Friday, July 14. Customers can get up to four dozen with the deal when purchased at a Krispy Kreme shop, either inside or in the drive-thru.
If a customer wants to access the deal online for delivery or pickup, they can use the code 86YEARS upon checkout. Online customers are limited to one dozen.
The deal will go on at participating Krispy Kreme shops in the U.S. while supplies lasts.

According to the Krispy Kreme website, the company has physical stores located in over 40 states across the U.S.
Krispy Kreme also operates in more than 30 countries through “fresh doughnut shops, partnerships with leading retailers, and a rapidly growing Ecommerce and delivery business with nearly 12,000 fresh points of access,” the press release states.
