While KMBC has always been partial to a Chiefs Fur Baby Friday, The Kansas City zoo went with something a little more exotic. The KC Zoo shared a bunch of adorable pictures Sunday of several animals enjoying some special Chiefs game day snacks. The fun definitely didn’t stop there! The zoo’s advanced animal care specialists snapped pictures of quite a few animals, all flashing some Kansas City pride. Photos of course included a goat, not be confused with KC’s G.O.A.T Patrick Mahomes.Perhaps the highlight of the zoo’s showcase though was a video featuring some of their larger animals. The footage shows camels Missy, Kizzy and Pearl working together to destroy a carboard box decorated with the Pittsburgh Steelers logo. After toying with the box, the trio gave the Steelers decoration a good stomping. The visual of the video wasn’t too dissimilar to what the actual Chiefs did with the Steelers in their playoff matchup. From roadrunners to “RED” river hogs, a ton of KC’s cutest critters across the Chiefs “animal” Kingdom got in on the action. Considering the KC Zoo has around 1,700 animals, it’s impossible to imagine what sort of game day spirit the zoo might show out next week. If you’re hoping to catch any of them in person, you’ll have to wait until Tuesday. The Zoo is closed Monday to honor the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. The zoo says it’s using the day to allow staff time to volunteer in the community.
