I-70 reopens after dump truck strikes sign past James Street


KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Interstate 70 eastbound reopened around 8:34 a.m. Wednesday morning after closing earlier in the morning past James Street in Kansas City, Kansas.

The interstate was closed after a dump truck struck a sign, according to Kansas Highway Patrol.

Crews were on scene to clear the truck and sign from the scene.

There were no injuries in the crash.

KHP initially said the highway was expected to be closed until 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday.
