We are counting down the days until the grand opening of the newest and biggest Great Wolf Lodge yet, less than an hour from Delaware.
Great Wolf Lodge will be opening its newest $250 million waterpark and resort on June 29, with 128,000 square feet of waterparks, 57,000 square feet of entertainment and activities and a 700-room resort.
Leading up to the opening, we are taking a look at what to know to enhance and prepare for your stay. Here’s what to know about dining at (and near) Great Wolf Lodge in Perryville, Maryland.
Food and drink on site

There are seven restaurants on site in the resort at various pricing levels.
Also, the Great Wolf Lodge mobile app offers contactless food ordering for patrons to pick up when they want. All of the resort’s amenities are also available to members of the general public as well, no booking required.
Campfire Kitchen is the resort’s buffet and dining spot. This is where the breakfast buffets take place every morning, which are originally priced at $24 for adults and $10 for kids without purchase of the “Wolf Wakeup Breakfast” package, making it one of the cheaper options in the resort. The buffet is also open for dinner, with entrees inspired by world cuisine. Its hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
There are two snack bar options in the resort. Hungry as a Wolf is in the resort’s adventure park and is open from 11:15 a.m. to 10 p.m. This is where you will find pizza, meatball sandwiches, garlic bread and alcohol options for grown ups. Timbers snack bar is also sandwiched between the waterpark and adventure park areas of the resort, offering burgers and sandwiches. Timbers is one of the cheaper options in the building.
Freshwoods Markets is located in the building’s grand lobby, acting as the resort’s “grab and go” spot. Open from 8 a.m. until 11 p.m., here you can pick up quick breakfasts and snacks throughout the day.
Barnwood is the resort’s take on upscale dining. Located in the grand lobby, Barnwood restaurant boasts a rustic theme to go along with its a la carte menu. Dinner entrees include salmon, steak & fries and roasted chicken with other options for kids. The restaurant is open from 7 a.m. until 11 a.m. for breakfast and from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. for dinner.
For dessert, the Wood’s End Creamery will be open adjacent to the resort’s grand lobby. It will be open from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. and offer mostly ice cream and smoothies.
As a part of the grand opening, celebrity chef Duff Goldman of Baltimore’s Charm City Cakes will be selling four original cupcake recipes for $6 each, inspired by scenes in The Great Wolf Pack animated film. All proceeds will go towards the Believe in Tomorrow Children’s House at Johns Hopkins through Labor Day weekend, or until supplies run out.
The waterpark also has its own bar, The Watering Hole, which is open from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. Alcohol will also be served at Freshwoods Market, Timbers, Hungry as a Wolf and Barnwood.
A Dunkin’ will also be in the resort, open from 6:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.
