One person was found dead inside a Greenville home following a fire late Wednesday, the Delaware State Fire Marshal’s office said.
The person who died in the house fire has not been identified.
Firefighters were dispatched to the 100 block of Downs Drive in the Limerick development off Lancaster Pike about 11:30 p.m. Arriving firefighters could see smoke coming from the house.
Firefighters found the person dead inside the home and the state Division of Forensic Science took custody of the body.
No other injuries were reported.
Deputy fire marshals are on the scene searching for what caused the fire, which is estimated to have caused $50,000 in damages.
