Traffic near the Buffalo Wild Wings in Stanton remains snarled after a FedEx truck downed at least a half-dozen telephone poles and wires.
According to the Delaware Department of Transportation, Route 7 south at Route 4 is closed as Delmarva Power workers, police and DelDOT employees work to clear the downed power lines.
DelDOT is also warning motorists to be wary when driving in the area, given the power outage has caused several traffic signals to go out.
It’s unclear what caused the FedEx truck to become snagged in the wires, but the impact caused multiple telephone poles to fall to the ground.

Delmarva Power said power will likely be restored “later this evening.” DelDOT has not given a time for the road to reopen.
