CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The Virginia Department of Transportation has announced that CSX will conduct emergency repairs at a railroad crossing on Branders Bridge Road this week, causing the road to be closed to drivers.
According to the department, the crossing is located on Branders Bridge Road between Lakeview Avenue and Route 1 in the Ettrick area of Chesterfield. The crossing is expected to be closed to drivers from 9 a.m. on Tuesday, March 12 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 14.
Drivers should follow the following detours while the road is closed:
- Northbound: Take Route 1 north, then head west on Lakeview Avenue towards Branders Bridge Road.
- Southbound: Take Branders Bridge Road south, then head east on Lakeview Avenue towards Route 1.
