PHILADELPHIA − The Eagles are reportedly adding depth at defensive end by trading for Chicago Bears’ Robert Quinn, one season after he had 18.5 sacks.
ESPN reported that the Eagles are sending the Bears a fourth-round pick in 2023.
Quinn’s career has been up and down over the last four seasons. He had 11.5 sacks playing for the Cowboys in 2019, then followed that up with just 2.5 the next season for the Bears. Then he had the 18.5 sacks in 2021, but has just 1 sack in 7 games this season.
Still, Quinn, who’s 32 years old, has 102 sacks for his career, which began with the St. Louis Rams in 2011. He had a career-high 19 sacks in 2013.
Quinn will work in with Brandon Graham and Josh Sweat, providing the depth they were lacking since Derek Barnett tore his ACL in Week 1.
