Duchess of York praises Princess Catherine’s courage amid cancer battle

Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, has expressed her admiration for Princess Catherine aka Kate Middleton’s bravery in publicly discussing her cancer diagnosis. Ferguson, who herself has faced cancer battles, including skin cancer this year and breast cancer last summer, commended Catherine for raising awareness about the disease.

In an Instagram post, Ferguson stated, “As someone who has faced their own battles with cancer in recent months, I am full of admiration for the way she has spoken publicly about her diagnosis and know it will do a tremendous amount of good to raise awareness.”

Catherine, 42, recently revealed in a video statement that she is undergoing cancer treatment following abdominal surgery earlier this year. Ferguson, 64, shared her support for Catherine, saying she believes the princess will be surrounded by love and that everyone is praying for her.

Ferguson’s own cancer journey began in January when she was diagnosed with malignant melanoma, a form of skin cancer, discovered during treatment for breast cancer. Her experience with cancer has given her a deep appreciation for Catherine’s courage in facing her own diagnosis.

King Charles III, who has also been diagnosed with cancer, recently praised Catherine for her courage in sharing her diagnosis. He expressed pride in her and emphasised the importance of giving her the time, space, and privacy to heal.

While the details of Catherine’s cancer have not been disclosed, Kensington Palace has stated that they are confident she will make a full recovery.
