A 59-year-old Dover man died and his 22-year-old passenger was badly hurt Tuesday afternoon after the man’s pickup truck drifted off the road and flipped, Delaware State Police said.
Troopers were called to Route 13 near Twin Willows Road just after 2:15 p.m. for reports of the wreck. There, they found the man dead. The 22-year-old was flown to a local hospital for treatment.
Through their investigation, troopers determined the Ford drifted off the east edge of the road and hit a tree. After hitting the tree, it began to spin, sliding a “short distance” before flipping.
