A 45-year-old woman from Camden has died and a 59-year-old man was injured after their car spun off the road near Dover on Monday night, according to Delaware State Police.
The identity of the woman has not been released.
The 59-year-old man was driving north on Wheel of Fortune Road south of Dyke Branch Road in a 2001 Honda Accord at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday, according to police. The car reached a “slight left curve” in the road, state police said, and the right tires left the road. The car began to spin and, when the driver tried to regain control, started spinning in the opposite direction. It then went off the road, and the driver’s side door hit a tree.

The woman, who was in the passenger seat, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police, and the man was taken to the hospital in “serious condition.” Wheel of Fortune Road was closed for about four hours.
