Dinwiddie man identified as pedestrian hit by car, killed on Midlothian Turnpike

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The Chesterfield County Police Department has identified the man who was killed after being hit by a car on Midlothian Turnpike.

According to police, a 2013 Volkswagen Passat was traveling west in the 11000 block of Midlothian Turnpike at around midnight on Saturday, Feb. 3, when it struck an adult male pedestrian, now identified as Norman A. Davis, 57, of Dinwiddie.

Davis was reported to have been walking in the roadway when he was hit. He was pronounced dead on scene.

According to officials, the driver of the car remained on scene and is cooperating with police.

The Chesterfield County Police Department is continuing to investigate the crash. Anyone with information is asked to contact the department at 804-748-1251.
