For some people, Valentine’s Day is their favorite day of the year. For others, it may be their most loathed.
Whether you love the day set aside for love, or hate it mightily, you might as well enjoy some good food on Monday.

“Valentine’s day is a special holiday that brings people to our restaurant that haven’t been there before, which is an excellent opportunity to provide them excellent service and delicious food in hopes that they will visit us again,” says April Doughty, director of Marketing at Jamestown Hospitality Group.
It’s possible that despite all the red hearts hanging in store windows, Valentine’s Day snuck up on you while you were focused on Super Bowl wings.

Columbus Inn, Wilmington
Columbus Inn is offering a Valentine’s Day takeout meal on Feb. 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. and February 14 from 2 to 4 p.m. The special meal includes shrimp cocktail, cheese and crackers, salad, desserts and more. This takeout pack for two costs $150.
On Sunday, Feb. 13, the Columbus Inn will host a Galentine’s Brunch on Sunday, Feb. 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost is $36 for adults and $18 for children ages 4 to 10.
Reservations are still available for brunch on their website.

Sullivan’s Steakhouse, Wilmington
Sullivan’s special Valentine’s Day menu will be available from Thursday to Monday, Feb. 10 to 14. Enjoy a prix fixe menu for $79 per person. Some of the options include shrimp and lobster bisque, prime New York strip, cheesesteak eggrolls and many other choices.

You can find the full menu with options on the Sullivan’s Steakhouse website. There are still available reservation times for the weekend so get them while you can. To accommodate everyone, you can order your Valentine’s meal online and get takeout or delivery.

Tonic Seafood & Steak, Wilmington
Celebrate your love at Valentine’s Tonic Seafood & Steak. From Friday, Feb. 11 to Monday, Feb. 14, surprise your special someone with a gift upon arrival to your table. Gift options include a bottle of bubbly, a flower bouquet, chocolate truffles or all of the above.

Jamestown Catering is under the same hospitality group as Tonic Seafood & Steak (Jamestown Hospitality) and they too are offering a tempting Valentine’s Day menu.
This is holiday takeout menu is for anyone who prefers to spend their Valentine’s Day at home. This special is called Kissed by Cupid and includes bacon-wrapped scallops, filet mignon, chocolate-cherry cake and more. This offer is available Saturday, Feb. 12 and Monday Feb. 14. For orders for Saturday must be placed by Thursday and picked between 4 and 8 p.m. on Saturday. Monday orders must be placed by Saturday and picked up between 4 and 6 p.m. on Valentine’s Day. For this you also have the option to add a bottle of bubbly, a flower bouquet, chocolate truffles or all of the above.
