Two bowl-subdivision foes are among Delaware State University’s opponents on its 2023 football schedule, announced Monday morning.
The Hornets will visit Army on Sept. 9 and Miami of Ohio Sept. 23, part of a difficult three-game stretch that also includes a Sept. 16 trip to 2022 FCS playoff qualifier Richmond.
The season opens at Alumni Stadium in Dover on Sept. 2 against Division II Bowie State. DSU does not begin Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play until Oct. 21 when South Carolina State visits for homecoming.
Delaware State will be playing it first season under coach Lee Hull while seeking its first winning season since 2012. The Hornets were 5-6 each of the last two years.
