Two children who died in a car crash in the Seaford area last week have been identified as 14-year-old Hope Glasgow and 6-year-old Nathan Glasgow, according to Delaware State Police.
Police originally reported the incorrect age of the 6-year-old but updated the news release on Monday.
The brother and sister were killed in a head-on collision on Atlanta Road during the afternoon of Jan. 6, police said. The children’s mother and another person were injured in the crash.
“The Delaware State Police extend our condolences to the victims’ families during this difficult time,” Master Cpl. Heather Pepper said in an earlier statement.
The crash happened just after 12:30 p.m. as a 53-year-old Seaford man was driving south on Atlanta Road in a 2009 Nissan Altima. At the same time, a 36-year-old Seaford woman was driving a 2018 Kia Soul north on Atlanta Road.

For unknown reasons, police said, the Nissan crossed the double solid yellow line, colliding head-on with the Kia, which had three occupants: the 36-year-old woman and her two children.
All were properly restrained, police said.
The Kia’s driver was taken to an area hospital where she was admitted with non-life-threatening injuries.
While the children were properly restrained in the vehicle, police said the brother and sister were pronounced dead at the scene because of the injuries sustained during the collision.
The man, who was properly restrained, was flown to an area hospital where he was admitted in serious condition.
