Delaware restaurants offer brunch, lunch, dinner for Mother's Day

We all know Mother’s Day is every day for the superwomen in our lives — from moms and grandmothers to aunts and not-so-fairy godmothers.

But if you want to to do something special for the specular women in your life on the holiday, many Delaware restaurants are raising a toast to maternal figures up and down the state.

Check out these Mother’s Day celebrations that offer boozy brunches, lavish dinners and breakfast buffets on Sunday, May 14.

Le Cavalier, Wilmington

Hotel du Pont’s Le Cavalier is hosting its much-loved Mother’s Day Brunch again this year.

The dining event features a four-course, prix-fixe menu that highlights brunch staples and seasonal delights.

Menu sneak peeks include brioche french toast with cinnamon whipped cream, skate wing amandine with brown butter and sautéed greens, Provençal-style omelets and smoked salmon benedict with chives and crème fraîche.

To end the meal, madeleines, sorbet and chocolate tarts will be served.

Reservations are $75 per adult and $25 per child under 10 years old. Seatings are available from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Resy.

The Hilton Wilmington/Christiana, Christiana

The Christiana Hilton is hosting a Mother’s Day brunch from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the holiday.

Featured dishes include bananas foster cheesecake-stuffed French toast, honey-citrus salmon with berry quinoa, grilled marinated filet medallions, carving stations, cinnamon-sugar beignets and more.

Kid-friendly fare also will be provided.

The brunch is $75 for adults and children 12 years old and above, and $29.95 for children ages four to 11. Kids three years old and under eat for free.

On Mother’s Day, Tonic Seafood & Steak in Wilmington is hosting a celebratory brunch and dinner.

Brunch will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., serving an a la carte menu filled with brunch staples. Dinner will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. and features the restaurant’s regular dinner menu.

Blue Moon, Rehoboth Beach

Looking for live music to wow Mom while you dine? Blue Moon in Rehoboth has just what you need.

The restaurant is hosting a Mother’s Day brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner from 5 to 9 p.m.

Brunch will feature an a la carte menu as well as Blue Moon’s signature $6 mimosas and Bloody Marys. Along with your midday meal, you can enjoy tunes from jazz guitarist Carey Smith in the Atrium.

The brunch cost is $32 per person and $12 for children. This includes coffee, tea, soda and scones.

Dinner features $25 filet mignon with a side item and $25 bottles of wine from Blue Moon’s award-winning list.

Keeping the music flowing from brunch, Roxy Overbrooke Cabaret will be taking over the mic in the Atrium at 8 p.m.

Abbott’s Grill is back with its annual Mother’s Day buffet this year.

The buffet will run from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and features dishes like oysters, eggplant Parmesan, crab crepes, flounder Florentine, roast beef and an array of sides, salads, breads and desserts.

Park Café in Wilmington is hosting a Mother’s Day brunch buffet on May 14.

The dining event will feature a live omelet station and a carving station.
