Crash on I-95 South in Richmond causing miles of backups


RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A crash on Interstate 95 South in Richmond is causing delays on Saturday, with traffic backed up for multiple miles.

According to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), the crash took place just before 8 a.m. on Saturday, March 30, near the Belvidere Street exit on I-95 southbound.

As of 8:39 a.m., the south right lane is closed and the Belvidere Street exit is narrowed as crews work to clear the scene. Traffic is backed up about two miles.
