COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. (WRIC) — The Colonial Heights Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place at a pawn shop.
On Friday, Feb. 2 at 4:43 p.m., Colonial Heights police responded to Cal’s, located at 101 Boulevard, for a report of a shooting.
According to police, an argument occurred between employees of the business in the parking lot.
One suspect displayed a firearm and shot at the victim multiple times, striking him at least once in the leg. A second suspect struck the victim with a firearm. Both suspects then entered a dark-colored pickup truck and left the area, travelling north on Boulevard.
According to officials, the victim has been transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
Detectives are investigating at the scene. Police advise the community to avoid the area if possible.
