While there’s not likely to be any significant snowfall on Delmarva in the coming days, the temperature is set to drop over 20 degrees Sunday night.
From Accomac to Wilmington, snow accumulation is expected to be no more than half an inch, if there’s any at all, according to the National Weather Service. However, following a wet Sunday, temperatures in the 60s are expected to drop into the 40s and 30s overnight.
Rain and wind are likely into Monday, and maybe some sleet. Coastal flooding is possible.
The chance of precipitation is between 50% and 80% in various places across the peninsula, the service says.
Clouds are predicted to clear gradually into a cold, windy afternoon, with gusts up to 34 miles per hour predicted in Ocean City. Winds are expected to be lesser further north.
Monday night is expected to be especially cold, with winds continuing and temperatures in the teens in some places.
That will lead to a sunny Tuesday with temperatures in the 40s, according to the National Weather Service.
