CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Chesterfield Fire and EMS crews responded to a fatal house fire in the Midlothian area that killed one person.
On Saturday, Dec. 16, at about 5:02 p.m., fire crews responded to a house fire at the 11000 block of Featherstone Court. When crews arrived on scene, they saw a large fire in the bedroom of the residence.
According to Chesterfield County Chief Battalion Justin Adams, the county’s police department had rescued one person found inside the home who was pronounced dead on scene.
At 5:26 p.m., the house fire was marked under control. According to Adams, there was no other injuries.
The cause of the fire still under investigation.
