A Salisbury, Maryland, woman died Tuesday night in a car crash southwest of Millsboro.
At about 11:20 p.m., a 26-year-old Millsboro woman was driving a Ford Explorer east on Route 24, in the area of Revel Road, when the vehicle struck a deer, according to Delaware State Police.
After the impact, the Ford continued east and crossed over the center line, striking a Honda CRV being driven by a 53-year-old Salisbury woman, police said. The Ford spun about 180 degrees before coming to rest in the eastbound lane, according to police, while the Honda came to rest in an open field.

The Ford driver was not properly restrained and was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, police said.
The Honda driver was properly restrained and pronounced dead at the scene, police said. They will be identified after family is notified.
The collision is under investigation by the Delaware State Police Troop 7 Collision Reconstruction Unit. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information is asked to contact Cpl.
