Reality TV has adopted Monte Taylor, of Bear, and he’ll debut with his “Big Brother” family on season 24 of the CBS series, premiering Wednesday night.
The contestant will join 15 houseguests competing for the $750,000 grand prize, according to press materials.
Taylor, 27, and the other contestants will move into a mid-century Palm Springs-inspired bed and breakfast motel during the 90-minute premier event on opening night.
Not only will this season feature new challenges, according to a press release, but there will be a new twist that will “send the Houseguests scrambling, and, beginning on premiere night, the opportunity for America to vote will impact the game.”
Taylor is a personal trainer, along with a cast that includes an attorney, a Vegas performer, a hypnotherapist, a private chef, a chemical processing engineer, an interior designer and a personal stylist, among others, according to a press statement.

The Bear man is one of the latest folks from northern Delaware in the past few months to compete on a reality show.
Newark sous chef Reuben Dhanawade was a finalist on the Food Network series ”Chopped: Desperately Seeking Sous Chef.“
The finale was Tuesday and while Dhanawade fell short, he made a name for himself on that major platform.
Nitro Nitra, a soul-rock singer who lives in Middletown, represented the First State in April on the first season of NBC’s new music show, “American Song Contest.”
The show, inspired by the popular “Eurovision Song Contest,” was hosted by rapper Snoop Dogg and singer Kelly Clarkson. It featured 56 vocalists, one per U.S. state and territory, performing original music.
Nitra ultimately didn’t make it past the qualifying round in week four, but not before picking up new fans on social media.
Delaware’s reality TV torch, nonetheless, continues to burn bright and it has now been passed to Taylor.
