A 65-year-old woman has died after the bicycle she was riding Thursday collided with a 2020 Dodge Ram 1500 truck in Dover.
Evalene Pyle, of Dover, died of her injuries on Friday, police said.
The incident began just before 4 p.m. Thursday as Pyle, who was riding a bike, entered Bay Road and into the path of a Dodge Ram, which was northbound on the roadway near South DuPont Highway (Route 13), police said.
The truck driver was unable to stop in time to avoid Pyle, who was ejected from her bicycle.
Pyle, who police said was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision, was flown to Christiana Hospital where she died on Friday.
