Monte Taylor of Bear has been tested all season 24 on “Big Brother.”
On Sunday night, he was bested, losing out to BB24 winner Taylor Hayle.
Taylor has had to withstand plenty of challenges on the CBS reality TV show, this season, which debuted in July.
The contestant joined 15 houseguests competing for the $750,000 grand prize. He managed to come out on top and become Head of House midway through Sunday’s episode, thanks to some weird jumbo hot dog skills, but in the end, the jury overwhelmingly voted for Taylor Hayle.
Monte Taylor, 27, and the other contestants moved into a mid-century Palm Springs-inspired bed-and-breakfast motel during the 90-minute opening night on July 6.
This season featured new challenges, as well as a new twist that the network said would “send the houseguests scrambling,” and with viewers getting a chance to vote to impact the game.
Taylor is a personal trainer and joined a cast that included an attorney, a Vegas performer, a hypnotherapist, a private chef, a chemical processing engineer, an interior designer and a personal stylist, according to a press statement.
The Bear man is one of the latest folks from northern Delaware in the past few months to compete on a reality show.

Nitro Nitra, a soul-rock singer who lives in Middletown, represented the First State in April on the first season of NBC’s new music show, “American Song Contest.”
The show, inspired by the popular “Eurovision Song Contest,” was hosted by rapper Snoop Dogg and singer Kelly Clarkson. It featured 56 vocalists, one per U.S. state and territory, performing original music.

Nitra ultimately didn’t make it past the qualifying round in week 4, but not before picking up new fans on social media.
Delaware’s reality TV torch, nonetheless, continues to burn bright and it has now been passed from Taylor to Lolley.
“Big Brother” is available to stream on-demand on Paramount+.
