Authorities release the name of Maine child killed, crushed by a tree during Thursday storm
Hallie Oldham, a 9-year-old from Poland, ME, was killed when a pine tree fell on the roof of the car she was in at Sebago Lake Family Campground in Standish.
Hallie Oldham, a 9-year-old from Poland, Maine, was killed when a large pine tree fell on the roof of the car she was in during severe thunderstorms on Thursday. Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office released her name in a press release Saturday. According to that release, her parents Jarod and Jennifer Oldham, were preparing to leave Sebago Lake Family Campground in Standish to escape the storm when two pines were uprooted in the storm. One hit the awning of the family’s camper and crushed their truck and the other hit the vehicle occupied by Hallie, her younger sister and their mother. Their father was outside the vehicle. Friends of the Oldham family established a GoFundMe account for the family.
