RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The Richmond Flying Squirrels are currently accepting applications for their 2024 ‘Squirrels Squad’ Entertainment Team.
The Squirrels Squad is meant to provide entertainment throughout Flying Squirrels games — participating in pre-game segments, helping Funn Bunch with between-inning promotions, planning skits with beloved mascots Nutzy and Natasha and more.
“It is our goal as an organization to continue to enhance the fan experience,” Flying Squirrels Assistant General Manager Anthony Oppermann said in a press release. “We’re excited about the opportunity to showcase some of the most talented performers in the Richmond region while elevating the entertainment experience at Squirrels games.”
According to the release, ideal candidates would be those with various performance skills, such as acrobatics, dancing, singing, juggling or acting.
Applicants must be at least 16 years old to be considered. Those who are interested can apply online and select candidates will be invited to audition at The Diamond in late February and early March.
