Two people were shot in just over an hour Tuesday night in Wilmington, according to the Wilmington Police Department.
Police said the first shooting was reported at 7:11 p.m. on the 700 block of North Tatnall St. in Wilmington’s Quaker Hill neighborhood. Police said they found a 45-year-old man who was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
At 8:36 p.m., Wilmington police said they were called to the 1100 block of Anchorage St. in Browntown for the shooting of a 17-year-old. The teenager was taken to the hospital in critical condition, according to police.

This is the 16th juvenile to be wounded in Wilmington so far this year. The majority of these shootings spiked in early June.
Since June 5, there have been 11 juveniles shot in Wilmington, the youngest of which was only 6 years old.
