A single-car crash on I-95 north at the Route 1 flyover by the Christiana Mall is causing delays on the interstate.
As of 10:30 a.m. Monday, two left lanes remained closed, the Delaware Department of Transportation said. Traffic was getting by slowly.
The wreck occurred just after 9:45 a.m., Christiana Fire Company call logs show. Photos and video from the scene indicate two people were trapped and had to be extracted by firefighters. It’s unclear what their conditions are.
Delaware State Police is investigating the crash. It’s not yet known what caused the wreck.
DelDOT has not given an estimated time for the road to reopen.
