Cape Henlopen midfielder Elizabeth Rishko is the Player of the Year and tops the All-State team selected by the Delaware High School Girls Lacrosse Coaches Association.
Rishko, a senior who has signed with Virginia Tech, led the way with four goals and two assists as the Vikings topped Tatnall 16-4 in the championship game for their 13th straight DIAA title.
Rishko joins her sister, Louise, and Tower Hill’s Lucy Nace, Tatnall’s Lydia Colasante, Dover’s Superia Clark and Sussex Academy’s Sanne Elling as the midfielders on the first team.
The first-team attackers are Bella Gattuso of Tower Hill, Molly Mendes and Kelly Bragg of Cape Henlopen and Bella Guckes of Sussex Academy.
The first-team defenders are Tatnall’s Katherine McConnel, Sussex Academy’s Jacqueline Thomas, Cape Henlopen’s Megan Smith and Ursuline’s Rory Monahan. Sussex Academy’s Payton Hagy is the first-team goalkeeper.

Tatnall’s Ruth Hiller is the Coach of the Year after leading the Hornets to a 15-3 finish. Ursuline’s Chloe Bethea-Jones won the state’s Jackie Pitts Award, which honors a player who goes above and beyond in service to her team, school and community.
