An early Saturday morning fire in Dewey Beach heavily damaged three homes and caused more than a million dollars in loss, officials said.
Shortly after 3 a.m., firefighters received reports of the fire in the 1900 block of Bayard Ave., Assistant State Fire Marshal Michael G. Chionchio said.
The Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company arrived on the scene with a house engulfed in flames, Chionchio said.

According to officials, there were no reported injuries, and the cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation.
