At least 15 people have been killed and eight others were injured after fire at a nightclub in central Istanbul, on Tuesday (Apr 2), said the city mayor Ekrem Imamoglu.
According to Imamoglu, seven out of the eight people injured are in critical condition. The fire reportedly broke out during daytime repair work at the 16-storey building in Istanbul’s Besiktas.
The officials said that the fire has since been extinguished and those injured have been taken to nearby hospitals.
