HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Runners raced through the rain with picturesque views of a train rushing by them in the Ashland Railroad Run held on Saturday.
From 7 to 11 a.m., runners raced through the “Center of the Universe” in the 45th annual Ashland Railroad Run on Saturday, March 23 with events including a 10K, Kids Fun Run and 5K walk or run.

The event also featured a Center of the Universe Challenge, where runners can race in both the 5K and 10K events.
Proceeds from the event went to the Hanover Arts and Activities Center.
