Virginia State Parks inviting visitors to watch solar eclipse, selling solar viewing glasses

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation is inviting residents and visitors to the Commonwealth to Virginia State Parks to watch the rare total solar eclipse, which is taking place Monday, April 8.

With 42 state parks across Virginia, there will be ample places for visitors to get a good view of the eclipse. Parks will be hosting educational programs led by knowledgeable park rangers and will be selling solar viewing glasses in their gift shops for $1 plus tax.
