CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Three residents are displaced after a fire blazed through the kitchen of a home in Chesterfield County.
At 1:45 a.m. on Monday, March 18, Chesterfield County Fire and EMS crews responded to a call for fire in the kitchen of a home in the 5900 block of Eastbluff Court.
According to officials, the fire was contained to the kitchen and was extinguished. There were no injuries.
Two pet birds died in the fire, according to a spokesperson for Chesterfield County Fire and EMS. Three residents are displaced and are being assisted by neighbors.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
