FARMVILLE, Va. (WRIC) — The Longwood University Lancers are bound for the NCAA Tournament for men’s basketball after winning Sunday’s championship game against the University of North Carolina at Asheville Bulldogs.
The final score for the Big South Tournament championship game on Sunday, March 10 was 85-59. The No. 5 seed Longwood Lancers will now head to the NCAA Tournament after securing the win against the No. 2 seed UNC Bulldogs.
Lancers player Michael Christmas scored the highest points for his team with a total of 18.
The Lancers will now head to NCAA Selection Sunday on March 17, where they will be assigned a bracket for March Madness.
