CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Chesterfield County residents are reacting to the news of an body of an unidentified female which was found near Charter Colony Parkway Thursday afternoon.
At 12:16 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, officers with the Chesterfield County Police Department were called to the 2300 block of Charter Colony Parkway after the body of a female was found in the area.
“To find things like this, right here at home. It’s a big safety concern, very big,” said Chesterfield resident Alton Drummond. “To find out that there was a body there, that is disturbing, because I have a 9-year-old daughter.”
A police spokesperson said the body was spotted by a person in a passing car but haven’t given any other details about the cause of death or who it was. The body will be taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for identification, according to police.
“If any parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, [read] this,” Drummond said. “Make sure you take care of your family, stay in touch, know what they’re doing.”
