RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A lane closure near South Belvidere Street and the Downtown Expressway has been extended to next week, according to the City of Richmond Department of Public Works.
According to the department, the northbound lane and right turn lane onto eastbound Byrd Street will be closed until 4 p.m. on Monday, March 11.
The extension of the lane closure comes after the department issued multiple closures in the area near South Belvidere Street and the Downtown Expressway.
According to the department, the closures are to allow a contractor to conduct pedestrian improvements to the area. Some travel lanes will be temporarily closed during the process.
