Bear hit by a car in Dinwiddie County

DINWIDDIE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A crash involving a bear took place in Dinwiddie County Tuesday night.

According to Virginia State Police, troopers responded to Courthouse Road and Cox Road the evening of March 5 after receiving report of a vehicle crash.

Once at the scene, police learned that the involved car had struck a bear, which reportedly fled following the crash.

No person was injured in the crash. As the bear ran away, its condition is unknown.
