CAROLINE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A Caroline County man has been arrested after deputies found a handgun beneath his pillow while executing a search warrant, according to the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office.
On Thursday, Feb. 22, deputies executed a search warrant at the Ruther Glen area home of 32-year-old Timothy Lee. According to the office, this warrant was obtained after an investigation found Lee possibly owned and recently fired a firearm despite being a violent felon.
The warrant affidavit provided to the Caroline County Circuit Court described the firearm as a “semi-auto handgun” with a tan bottom half and a black top half, according to the office.
During the search, deputies reportedly found a handgun beneath a pillow on what they believe is Lee’s bed. The 9mm Taurus handgun matched the description provided to the local court.
Lee was charged with the possession of a firearm as a violent convicted felon and is currently being held at Pamunky Regional Jail without bond.
