RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A student at Oak Grove/Bellemeade Elementary School brought a loaded gun onto school property, launching an investigation by the Richmond Police Department.
At 2:56 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, Richmond police officers were called to the elementary school, located at 2409 Webber Ave., for the report of a firearm on school property.
When officers arrived, staff at the school reported they were made aware of a juvenile student who had a firearm in the school.
Officers reportedly recovered the firearm, which they said had a loaded magazine. There were no injuries, according to police.
This incident is under investigation.
