UPDATE: As of 12:20 p.m., all lanes are open and the scene is clear.
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 South in Chesterfield County shut down most southbound lanes Sunday, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).
Around 11:00 a.m. on Feb. 11, crews were at the scene of the crash, which occurred on the interstate just south of the James River near its exit to Maury Street. The southbound left and center lane were closed.
According to footage from the scene, at least three vehicles appeared to have been involved in the crash.
Drivers were encouraged to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.
