Greene County pastor charged with abduction, aggravated sexual battery of minor

GREENE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A pastor at a church in the Ruckersville area of Greene County has been arrested and charged with abduction and aggravated sexual battery of a minor.

On Tuesday, Jan. 30, the Greene County Sheriff’s Office received information that led to an investigation into 47-year-old Rodney Locklear, a pastor at Victory Church in the Ruckersville area. According to police, Locklear is involved in youth bible study at the church.

On Thursday, Feb. 1, the Green County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, arrested Locklear and charged him with abduction with the intent to defile and aggravated sexual battery of a victim aged 13-14 with force.

According to police, Locklear is being held at Central Virginia Regional Jail without bond.
