MECKLENBURG COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will be closing part of Shiney Rock Road in Mecklenburg County to replace multiple culvert pipes.
According to VDOT, Shiney Rock Road between Lewis Mill Road and Union Chapel Road will be closed daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. starting Monday, Feb. 12, and ending Friday, Feb. 16, if weather permits.
VDOT recommends drivers follow these detour routes:
- Northbound traffic: Turn right on Newton Road, turn left on Union Chapel Road and proceed back to Shiney Rock Road.
- Southbound traffic: Turn left on Union Chapel Road, turn right on Newton Road and proceed back to Shiney Rock Road.
