RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A man was found dead inside an academic building on Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU)’s campus Monday morning, according to the Richmond Police Department.
At 10:39 a.m. Monday, Jan. 29, officers were called to Oliver Hall at 1015 West Main Street for the report of a person down.
When officers entered the building, they found a man who was lying down and was unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said it is believed that the death is “medical in nature” and no foul play is currently suspected. The man has not yet been identified by police.
The medical examiner will determine the cause and manner of death, according to police.
