CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A fire at a home in southern Chesterfield County near Virginia State University’s campus has left two people without a home.
According to Chesterfield Fire and EMS, crews responded to a home on the 3300 block of Light Street at around 8:57 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 24 and found heavy fire at the front of the home.
The fire was marked under control at around 9:17 p.m., no injuries were reported but the home’s two residents were displaced and are being assisted by the Red Cross.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
